Briefly: Apple & Pepsi, new retail store in Japan, Logic Pro updated

As we couldn't update regularly this week, here is a summary of the most important events in the Mac world since the beginning of this week:

On Monday, MacMinute notes that Apple and Pepsi are partenering again. Pepsi will run a contest to win iPod 1700 minis and willl also give away 200 million songs. Pepsi will air a 2.5 minutes ad during the SuperBowl on February the 6th to promote the giveaway.

On Tuesday, Apple announced that it would open a new retail store in Japan in Nagoya Sakae. A web page dedicated to this new store opening was posted on Apple's web site.

Yesterday, Apple has quietly released an update for its professionnal audio software, Logic Pro 7.0.1. An update that was predicted by AppleInsider on early January. AppleInsider also reported that Apple has seeded a new buid of Mac OS X 10.3.8, numbered 7U7.

Finally, yesterday again, ThinkSecret's owner informed us through a posting that he has found a lawyer that will defend him for his suit against Apple Computer.
