Apple releases new PowerMacs

Apple has just re-opened its European online stores (US, DE, FR, IT, UK...), and releases new PowerMacs as expected. Three new configurations have appeared with the same technical specfications as revealed yesterday by Amazon, while the entry-level PowerMac G5 single 1.8Ghz keeps the same specifications and pricing.

Here are the three new configurations:
PowerMac G5 Dual 2Ghz:
- Dual 2.0 GHz PowerPC G5 processors
- 512 MB of DDR SDRAM
- 160 GB hard drive
- 16x Dual Layer SuperDrive (CD/DVD+RW)
- ATI Radeon 9600 - 128MB

PowerMac G5 Dual 2.3GHz:
- Dual 2.3 GHz PowerPC G5 processors
- 512 MB of DDR SDRAM
- 250 GB hard drive
- 16x Dual Layer SuperDrive (CD/DVD+RW)
- ATI Radeon 9600 - 128MB

PowerMac G5 Dual 2.7Ghz:
- Dual 2.7 GHz PowerPC G5 processors
- 512 MB of DDR SDRAM
- 250 GB hard drive
- 16x Dual Layer SuperDrive (CD/DVD+RW)
- ATI Radeon 9650 - 256MB

Pricing for these new PowerMacs is, respectively, $1999, $2499 and $2999. For Europe, pricing is 1979€, 2469€ and 2959€.

The storage can be upgraded to up to 800GB while there is also an option to buy any of these PowerMacs with an NVidia GeForce 6800 Ultra DDL with 256MB of DDR SDRAM. Additionally, all of the configurations, including the 1.8Ghz PowerMac, ship with Tiger.
