MSN Messenger 5.0 today? (UPDATE)

As notes MacGeneration, MacWorld.de reports today that the release of a of MSN Messenger 5.0 for Mac OS X is imminent.

According to MacWorld, the new version won't bring audio or video conferencing but compatibility with Yahoo Messenger and iChat/AIM instead. The site also claims that new Emoticons and better proxy connectivity will arrive with this new version.
