Briefly: Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.3, iChat and .Mac

ThinkSecret and AppleInsider are both providing details on the forthcoming Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.3 update. This new version is going to bring a lot of improvements and bug fixes. AppleInsider even claims "hundreds" of bug fixes. The update is expected to be released by the end of September or on early October.

The same two sites hint at new features of Apple's iChat. ThinkSecret's readers have discovered some clues revealing two possibly forthcoming features of iChat: the first is the capability of document sharing and the second is tabbed chat.

Additionally, AppleInsider claims that Apple plans to add iChat encryption feature through the .Mac membership. The encryption will be available between .Mac members for text, media and audio-video, according to the site.

Sources had also reported to MacosXrumors that Apple had been developing an encryption feature for iChat, it was expected to come with iChat 3.0 but didn't (check out this article posted on December).

Finally, AppleInsider claims that .Mac will soon be updated. The new version of the service will include Backup 3.0 and exclusive Dashboard widgets.
