Apple trademarks "iPodcast"

Apple has filed the trademark "iPodCast" along with its logo at the U.S. Patents and Trademarks office on September the 4th.

The description of the trademark is the following covers a big amount of topics, including computer software, computer peripherials and telecommunication services.

We may speculate that Apple is maybe working on a piece of software that will help users to record and prepare podcasts before publishing them. That would make podcasting as simple as blogging, which could result to a boom in the podcasting contributions.
