Apple's US retail market share reaches 6.6%

According to an article on TheStreet, Apple's retail market share in the U.S. PC market has significantly increased. It is now at 6.6% from 4.3% last year.

These figures do not count online sales though and as the PC market's leader DELL sells most of its computers online, the real figure should be lower.

The site also speculates on Wednesday's announcements and expects the video iPod to be released along with updated Mac product lines.

Let's hope Apple will provide more details about its market share during the Q4 Financial Results Conference Call which will be webcasted after markets' close.
