Freddie Geier named head of Apple Germany

According to MacNews.de, Apple has named Freddie Geier head of Apple germany. He succeeds to Frank Steinhoff who quited Apple nine months ago.

Freddie Geier was CEO of Elgato, the company that makes the EyeTV, which has become the leader TV-tuner product for Mac users. Elgato's products only work on Mac at the moment.

Before he joins Elgato, Geier was manager of Apple's Applications Division from July 2003 to October 2005. He also was ASTARTE's Software Division Managerfrom April 2000 to June 2003 and ComLine's Managing Director from May 1997 to April 1998.
