Apple launches iTunes Australia

Apple has just quietly launched its Australian iTunes Music Store. Songs are priced $1.69 (AUS) each while videos are priced $3.39.

The company has been rumoured to be preparing the launch of the Australian iTunes Music store since last year. The launch was then delayed several times.

Last week, several reports claimed there would be an official announcement for the launch of iTunes Australia on October the 25th and that the store would actually open on October the 31st.
