Apple posts PowerMac G5 (Late 2004) Firmware update

Apple has posted a Firmware update to version 1.1 for the PowerMac G5 1.8Ghz single which was released in late 2004.

The description Apple provides for the update is the following:

This update is only for the 1.8 GHz, single-processor Power Mac G5 (Late 2004) computer and supports installation on Mac OS X 10.4.3 or later. Also improves the reliability of your Power Mac G5, especially after it has been inactive for two hours.

Several problems have been pointed out last year about the Single 1.8Ghz PowerMac as users were complaining about freezes when using graphics intensive applications as well as other issues. Following this complains, Apple had posted a first Firmware Update to adress these issues.
