Apple is quietly making its first step into the online movies market with some unusual content it added on iTunes this week.
The first full-leght movie that was made available on iTunes is "High School Musical" from Disney Pictures. The movie weights 487.1MB, lasts 1'39" and is priced $9.99.
Apple has also added the NCAA Basketball Division 1 Championship (from CBS Sports) to he iTunes music store. Games are priced $1.99 each.
Considering the file size/lenght ratio, we believe it is the same format as for music videos (H.264 or MPEG-4), allowing this new content to be played on a video enabled iPod.
