Apple trademarks "iPod Hi-Fi"

The U.S. Patents and Trademarks Office reveals that Apple has filed a trademark for the brand "iPod Hi-Fi" on March the 9th 2006.

Here is the description of the trademark (goods and services):

G & S: Speakers; sound systems comprising remote controls, amplifiers, loudspeakers and components thereof; apparatus for reproduction of sound; apparatus for connecting and charging portable and handheld digital electronic devices for recording, organizing, transmitting, manipulating, and reviewing audio, video and other digital content; parts and fittings for all the aforesaid goods. The trademark obviously has to do with the recent announcement of the boombox system for the iPod called "iPod Hi-Fi".
