According to Smarthouse.com.au, an executive of BenQ electronics maker claims that Apple has been seeking for taiwanese mobile-phone makers regarding the manufacturing of its forthcoming iPhone.
"An iPod phone is definitely coming. BenQ will not be making it as we are in competition with Apple however several of our suppliers have been approached to manufacture parts. Among manufacturers in Taiwan it is common knowledge. The issue for many is the availabilty of parts if the phone takes off" said the BenQ executive.
Analysts such as J.P. Morgan or American Technologies Research (see recent posting) have been consistently been expecting Apple to release its own mobile phone since Apple announced its partnership with Motorola, trademark of the "iPhone" brand also fueled the rumours. Evidence of iPhone plans for this year's fourth quarter surfaced earlier this week, as mentioned in our previous posting.
