Audio patent:
MacsimumNews notices a patent filed as "Audio system, loudspeaker and method of operation thereof" at the European patent office describing an audio system with loudspeakers controled by a computing device. The system produces the effect of having five speakers when there ar only two. This patent shows how Apple is getting involved in the entertainment devices market.
Mac OS X 10.4.6:
As AppleInsider reported last week, the development of the Mac OS X 10.4.6 update is almost finnished. Apple seeded builds 8I1116 (Intel) and uild 8I124 (PowerPC) last week with no known bugs. By the way, we may expect the update to be released very soon.
Apple vs Apple:
Yesterday Apple Computer and Apple Corps met in court, regarding a dispute over the "Apple" trademark. Apple Corps requires Apple to not use the Apple logo on its iTunes Music service. Today AP reported that Anthony Grabiner an Apple lawyer dismissed Apple Corps claims of corporate confusion and said "Even a moron in a hurry could not be mistaken about that.
