Apple releases XCode 2.3, Reference Library Update

Apple has released a new version of its development environment for Mac OS X, XCode 2.3. It is available through the Apple Developer Connection web site (free membership required).

This new version brings the following changes, according to Apple:

Xcode 2.3 adds support for the DWARF debugging format for enhanced debugging fidelity. This release also includes stability and performance improvements to the Xcode IDE, build system, and Code Sense. It is recommended that all Xcode users install this update

The company also provides to its ADC members an updated version of its ADC Reference library, which includes technical notes, release notes, documentation and sample code for Apple developers.

Late last week, Java SE 6.0 Release 1 Developer Preview 2 and SWT Compatibility Libraries for J2SE 5.0 Release 4 were also made available to developers.
