Exclusive: Merom-based MacBook Pro to be unveiled on September the 25th

I was planning to order one, I'm going to wait a week more!

wow! I want the 12 inch one!

So, no updates means no confirmation and unlikely, or are we still on..? This wait has been too long..

macosxrumors rarely ever posts BS. i'm thinking the only reason apple might not release new mbp's on monday would be because of something that goes wrong. otherwise i say it WILL happen.

I've just back from two local Apple suppliers in Switzerland, where I was trying to order a 17" mac book pro with a UK keyboard but both said they couldn't order me one as stocks were now too low due to the new release next week. I'm glad my old hard drive didn't fail 2 weeks ago.

Would love to see a MBP update on Monday/Tuesday, but it's hard to say whether it's going to happen.

Suppliers in UK/Europe might be having inventory problems, but according to Apple in USA/Canada, MBP's are still widely available with 1-3 day delivery within North America.

Give me MBP with C2D orelse I have to buy a PC with Windows!
Also a 12" would be very welcomed! You hear?

since i just got my mac book pro 17in with the college deal, free ipod and discounted mac book, they must be releasing a new one. thats what they did with the ipod, the one that was part of that promo was the 6og, and now its gone, and when i placed the order, the computer was at first going to be shipped right away, then it was delayed untill the 25. they must have pulled one out of the back room cuz it came on wednesday, but now ill just have to wait and see if ill be exchanging this one, or keeping it for the great price, and be happy with the way it is now...... at least they gave me credit back on the ipod price discount, now if they drop the price on the mac book pro, i hope they at least give me that price break........

Please Apple. I´d like to see and buy the new MBP with C2D. Please

If the prices don't change, and windows runs as well as clamied on the mac, these are going to give DELL a run for the money. Their XPS systems, with similar configurations run at almost 500 bucks more. Only real difference would be the Graphics chip.

But the graphics chip makes one hell of a difference. Especially when you're talking about a 512MB 7900 GTX in the more expensive Dell.

That said, I'm hoping for a C2D MBP tomorrow so that I don't have to resort to a mind-numbingly bland Dell, or an Alienware. The $500-700 premium on MBPs just isn't justified while Apple drags its heels keeping Yonah in the 'pro' machines.

im split 2 ways, 1. all ive heard is "sources say" and thats it, i mean papers write that to make their false stories sound truer than what they actually are. But then theres the other side of me, i really hope they do release it. i mean the macbook pro and that poxy ibook replacement the macbook, are the only ones that are still "unchanged" the macbook pro is the most due mac for an upgrade. considering all its problems its the one that most of all needs to redeem some confidence that it is an unbelievable machine to have, which it is :) come on hurry up with the upgrades apple, your lagging behind!!!! others have had c2d for ages now, we're starting to become tiresome.

Well, no Merom MBPs. I'm pretty much over the whole thing. If they're going to stretch it to November, I think I might wait for spring and see if they come out with a whole redesign. My G4 still does okay.

Weah, such secrecy that makes me sick. It's really a pain when we are talking on getting a 3000€ laptop and on the next week something new arrives...and now, I've cancelled my order and there’s no new stuff...

I was hoping to order a Merom 17" MacBook Pro, but now might as well wait until after MacWorld 2007.
