Apple's much anticipated iPhone should be available exclusively with Cingular for the first six months of its release, according to a report from ThinkSecret.
The site also provides some information it has gathered about the phone's technical specifications and features. The phone should use a candy-bar design, will sport a 2.2 inch display, a 3 megapixel camera and iTunes/iSync support.
Apple is also said to be in talks with other providers around the world while the internally estimated shipments could be as much as 25 million iPhones for the first year.
As most analysts do, ThinkSecret expects the phone to be released in early 2007.

I just got a SonyEricsson K800i which offers 3.2 megapixels, very rich 240x320 pixel screen, fast Bluetooth, UMTS network support and MemoryStick slot.
So I'm pretty sure that the iPhone won't be sold on raw features but more on usability and integration with Mac OS X 10.5
While I love my K800i setting it up as a Bluetooth modem [using 3G to access my O2 data account] was a matter of trawling several 3rd party sites [NOT Apple or SonyEriccson] before finding a solution. This took two hours, and I'm not inexperienced at this kind of task.
If Apple can show how easy it is to shift to iPhone then I know a tonne of Nokia and Moto users who'll jump ship, like tomorrow.

Would be interested how you did that. I have tried to set up K800 on o2 and powerbook to access internet with no success. I have to put sim in my old k750 to get on the net.
