MacBook Pro is dropping

MacBook Pro is dropping wireless connection and refusing to reconnect automatically after applying 10.4.8.

Did you try turning it off,

Did you try turning it off, remove the battery, zapping PRAM, NVRAM?

After I updated to 10.4.8

After I updated to 10.4.8 from .7 I no longer and see my 802.11a channel in my wireless options on my MacBook. I have a TrendNet WAP that worked perfectly on 802.11a before the update. Anyone else lose their 802.11a option after the update?

All the brushed metal

All the brushed metal interface items on my MacBook 2,0 ghz/2GB have taken on a bluish tint since the 10.4.8 update.

Weird!

So far so good with Mac OS X

So far so good with Mac OS X (10.4.8) Update for me!!! However, I think that there should be an Mac OS X (10.4.9) Update to make it rock solid like they've done with Panther too!!! Otherwise, it's great!!!

Okay, it sounds like that many people are having A crapload of problems with this Update. Hopefully Alexandros Roussos and the rest of the Mac Web Site will be able to report about the Mac OS X (10.4.9) Update real soon into the very near future.

I have good and bad news for

I have good and bad news for you, not really worth posting an article on it yet.

Looks like 10.4.9 development has already started, but it's not to be released very soon as you might guess. We can expect it to come for December 2006 or January 2007.

I guess Apple will come up with some fixes for the most annoying bugs before the next update arrives.

For my part, I did not have any problem with this update yet.

Man, you're dead on right

Man, you're dead on right about that Alex. If you read AppleInsider's Forum there's alotta people that are having A crapload of problems and also if you read on Apple's Discussion Forum too, then you'll find out real quick on how many problems that they've got. Personally, I think that this Update is very stable myself, except for my Safari. Now when I quit Safari, then it'll Shut-Off on me or if another Window overlapping and I'll close it, then it'll die on me and quit unexpectly. But other than that, it seems like A pretty darn stable Operating System!!!

Well, i've got problems with

Well, i've got problems with Adobe Photoshop after installing this update - i was so stupid, that let Apple Software Updater doing everything automatically. Now it seems the only thing it will help is to reformat the mac and reinstall the whole shit. I already contacted Adobe, but hey, they said if the preferences file reseting, Photoshop third-time reinstalling and privileges-repairing doesnt help, than i need to reinstall the OS :(

The problem is, after i lauch PS it quits right after the UI/Menus show up. Also, the drag-and drop function doesn't work, i can't drag files (PSD, JPG whatever) to PS icon - is simply doesnt open. It doesn't make any difference, if i have the application icon in Application folder, in the Dock or the Desktop.

So, the only way to fix this, is reformating and reinstalling the OS with 10.4.7 update as it was before. I've also got problems with some other apps, constantly closing - InDesign, FontAgent Pro...

Apple, that was not funny.
