Rumours on Apple's most anticipated forthcoming product, the iPhone, are revived this week with one new evidence and another analyst report.
AppleInsider reports that Apple has trademarked the "iPhone" brand in a U.S. Far Eastern trademark office. The brand "iPhone" is expected to be used for Apple's rumoured mobile phone. The company already owns iphone.org domain, which is redirecting to the company's web site.
Meanwhile, Jesse Tortora, a Prudential analyst confirms iPhone rumours and claims the company will release two models: one will be small sized and offer phone and music player features while the second will be a bit bigger and will offer video playback and smart phone features. The second is also expected to provide wifi wireless connectivity.
The iPhone isn't expected to be launched until Q1 2007 and Cingular is rumoured to be the in deal with Apple for the launch of the device.

Interesting, and makes sense, the first will be close to the nano's form factor while the second will be closer to the 6G iPod, with video and smartphone features...
