Apple has started progressively opening its worldwide online stores, revealing the release of the company's new high end laptops, sporting Core 2 Duo chips.
The MacBook Pro's product page on Apple's web site has already been updated to reflect the changes.
Here are the new MacBook Pro configurations available:
MacBook Pro 15" Core 2 Duo 2.16Ghz:
- 1GB of RAM
- 120GB of storage
- x6 SuperDrive
- ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 with 128MB of video RAM
- $1999
MacBook Pro 15" Core 2 Duo 2.33Ghz:

Justin, it was obvious that MBPs would come first. Apple probably waited until the availability of the 2.33GHz Core 2 Duo gets good.
Now they can put lower speed Core 2 Duos on the MacBooks.

MacScoop initially claimed forthcoming MacBook updates on this report:

Let's hope the "close to Apple" source mentioned in their report is as good as the "reliable sources" mentioned in the article's update. ;)

The Macbhooks are nice but
The Macbhooks are nice but it is all about the PRO version. I currently am a 12" Powerbook owner. It has been the best mac I have ever owned. I love the size/weight. I would have loved to see another 12" model but wide screen is the new thing. The 13" Macbook is only a little smaller then the 15" so what is the point. You gotta go with the PRO. As for me...I am an Authorized Business Agent for Apple. I get a discount for a demo unit. As soon as that coupon is Avail. to me I will buy the new C2D MacbookPro 15". I have worked on the previous MacbookPro's and they were Awesome. Any imporvements can only be better
