Apple has just released a new RED product in its iPod nano line-up, as the 8GB version is now also available as a RED product.
RED products fight against AIDS, as a small percentage of their price is donated to the JoinRED association which encourages cunsumer product companies to help AIDS through special editions of their products.
The new model has the same technical specs and pricing ($249) as the 8GB black nano.
Earlier this week, MacScoop has reported that Apple has been very successful with the release of its first RED product the RED iPod nano 4GB, and that the company was considering other RED products, with next to the list product line expected to be the MacBook.
Additionally, readers pointed out that in the latest Cassie's clip "Long Way To Go", features what looks like a RED MacBook. However, it is possible that this is a custom MacBook made by companies providing personalization of your Mac's enclosure.
RED products are available only on Apple's online store and physical Apple Store locations. Some explanation on this situation is provided by our sources on our previous article. Apple is known to have been unfair with dealers since the company has launched its own retail stores strategy. The company is now also dealing with larger resellers such as Wallmart, BestBuy or Target and is giving less attention to specialized dealers.
