NVidia buys PortalPlayer
PortalPlayer announced that NVidia has agreed to buy PortalPlayer for $357 million.
The famous graphic chips manufacturer didn't provide justification on its decision to buy PortalPlayer which makes chips for consumer electronics such as the iPod.
PortalPlayer was among the qualified as "cheap" companies in the consumer chips by analysts.
NVidia's move is seen as a step into Apple's very lucrative iPod business.
