Leopard build 8A303, 10.4.8 improves Rosetta performance, Vista already pirated

Apple has reportedly seeded a new build Mac OS X Leopard late last week. The new build, numbered 9A303 improves performances and fixes several bugs.

Reports point out significant performance improvements on Rosetta when using Mac OS X 10.4.8, the latest update to Tiger.

MacWorld claims that, according to its benchmarks, applications running on Rosetta under Mac OS X 10.4.8 are 30% faster than when running on an earlier version of Tiger.

Meanwhile, readers and other tech sites report that Microsoft's recently released Windows Vista (Corporate only), is already available through pirate networks along with crack tools for its protection by activation.

How are they going to

How are they going to convince anyone that Vista is super secure when there seems to be an activation crack available already?

Since when was the ability

Since when was the ability to install/activate an OS anything to do with the security of that OS?

OSX can be 'cracked' to run on Dell Machines nicely... does that mean OSX is not secure?

These cracks do allow the installation of the OS, but just as with a cracked OSX, the software update will not work and so you are left to manually patch the system. No one seriously would rely on a system in that state.

Like they did with XP :)
