Taiwanese manufacturer said to have received iPhone contract

According to Forbes (citing the Commercial Times), the Japanese electronics manufacturer Hon Hai Precision Industry is said to have received an Apple iPhone contract.

While most analysts expect Apple to release its own mp3-enabled mobile phone next year, the report claims Apple ordered the production of as much as 12 million iPhones from Hon Hai for 2007.

In this same report, it is also claimed that Apple ordered an undisclosed number of 15 inch Macbooks for 2007.
