Briefly: Apple settles with the Beatles, offers fix for Vista-iTunes bug

Today, Apple Inc and Apple Corp announced a in a joint press release that the two companies have settled their dispute over the use of the "Apple" trademark.

Apple Corps, the company that represents the rights for the legendary britanic rock group is finally becoming a friend of Apple, after a long run law-suit regarding the use of the « Apple » trademark in music related activities such as iTunes.

“We love the Beatles, and it has been painful being at odds with them over these trademarks. It feels great to resolve this in a positive manner, and in a way that should remove the potential of further disagreements in the future.” told Steve Jobs in the joint statement.

In other iTunes related news, Apple has posted a fix for Windows Vista users who want to play songs bought on iTunes. The company recommends its customers to wait until the next release of iTunes before upgrading to Vista.
