Apple posts Safari Beta 3.0.2 for Mac OS X and Windows

Apple has posted the second update to Safari since its release during the World Wide Developers Conference opening of June the 11th.

This new update brings the version to 3.0.2 for both Mac OS X and Windows platforms.

It fixes several security and stability issues and is recommended to all users, as the description of the update provided by Apple states.

The update weights approximatively 10MB depending on which platform you download it for and is available either through the Software Update utility or through Apple's web site.

According to our own checks, this update indeed fixes stability issues and page-rendering issues we had encountered in the initial beta and on version 3.0.1 of Safari for Windows.

Since Apple has released Safari Beta 3 for Mac OS X and Windows, many users criticised it and qualified it as alpha. One can hope this second update will fix most of the issues users have encountered.

The company also posted exlusively for Mac OS X users a Security Update numbered "2007-006". It adresses WebKit related security issues.

So much for the dig that

So much for the dig that says Apple is slow to address security related issues.
