Briefly: New MacBook Pro Power Adapter, 6G iPod, iPhone vulnerable and more

Here's a brief catch-up with the news.

MacBook Pro's power adapter gets smaller

Engadget notes that Apple is now shipping an shrunk version of its Power Adapter with its recently updated MacBook Pro line-up.

The 85W adapter features Apple's MagSafe technology and is now nearly as small as the MacBook 60W adapter.

6G iPod UI?

MacRumors has posted what is claimed to be a video showing the next generation iPod's user interface.

Though the it looks real and it has actually been removed on Apple legal request, ArsTechnica doubts and guesses it's a fake. Time will tell.

iPhone vulnerable to hackers

The New York Times reports that a security firm has successfuly hacked the iPhone through its web browser which is based on Safari.

'“We can get any file we want,” he said. Potentially, he added, the attack could be used to program the phone to make calls, running up large bills or even turning it into a portable bugging device.'

Apple officially answered that it is considering these issues very seriously and that it has good track record on fixing security issues before they can affect users. The security flaw in question hasn't affected any iPhone user yet.
