Apple seeds new Mac OS X 10.4.11 Update beta

Apple has seeded a new beta of Mac OS X Tiger 10.4.11 Update, numbered 8S2144, according to MacRumors.

The site provides a few details on the new build:

"[T]he next update to Apple's Mac OS X Tiger operating system lists only one known issue which involves the system occasionally hanging during shutdown.

Beyond that, there have been a number of new fixes described, including addressing issues with USB modem, modem driver, CoreAudio and m4a files, WebCore Editing, VPN and Rosetta."

Considering this is an early build, we can expect more fixes to come for the final version of the update.

This will be the first time Apple provides so many updates to one major version of its operating systems. The company is expected to ship Leopard (or Mac OS X 10.5) on October.
