Briefly: $30 million of App Store sales, iPhones at Best Buy, iPhone Firmware

Here's a brief catch-up with iPhone related news:

Apple announced that it has sold more than $30 million woth of iPhone Software in the first month after its launch.

"I've never seen anything like this in my career for software.", Apple's CEO, Steve Jobs told the WallStreet Journal during an interview on the matter.

iPhone to be sold at Best Buy

The distribution of the iPhone 3G will be extended to Best Buy stores in the U.S.A. thanks to a deal signed between Apple and the retailer.

Customers will still be required to subscribe to an AT&T plan so as to purchase the iPhone.

iPhone Firmware 2.1

A new buildo f the iPhone Firmware 2.1 was recently seeded to developers. The new build surprisingly removes the notification service feature which was present on earlier 2.1 beta developer.

The notification service feature, which allows developers to manage background events in their applications has been promissed to developers for September.
