Apple has scheduled a Special Event on September 9 for product announcements, reports on the Internet claim.
Engadget confirmed that the event entitled "Let's Rock" will take place in San Fransisco at 10 a.m.
Apple is expected to make iPod and iTunes related announcements during the event. The company is rumored to be preparing to release revamped iPod touch and iPod nano lineups as well as a new version of its music software.
As usually, there could be some unexpected announcements. For example, Apple has not updated us on the total removal of DRMs on iTunes it promised us for last year and has also been rumored to be working on other business models for its online store, though the current model showed to be pretty successful.
It has previously been claimed by Digg's founder, Kevin Rose - who had made other Apple-related predictions in the past - that an Apple event would take place on September 9.
