iPod nano dead!

Hi,

I need some help.

My nano stopped working. It's like if the battery was dead forever, I can't charge it.

I had not used it until last week and yesterday I connected it on my iBook so as to charge it and fill it with some music, but it wasn't recognized and didn't show-up on iTunes.

Please help!

I had a similar problem

I had a similar problem because I let the battery die down too much. I let it charge for 45 minutes, then reset it, and it worked fine. You may need to put it in Disk Mode. Apple.com has a help tutorials on how to do these things. I would let the nano charge for an hour, and see if it will turn on. Once mine had enough juice, it would start up and reset itself in a vicious cycle. I ended up putting it in disk mode (to stop the perpetual reseting), and reinstalling the iPod software (it would show up in the finder after I put it in disk mode).
After that, it worked.
