Switiching to the iMac...
All,
I'm (or will soon be) an Apple convert from PC and will be getting an iMac. My conundrum is as follows: wait for the new release and hope to get an older iMac (20-inch with an upgrade to 2GB) on sale or, get the new fancy shmancy 20--inch (or its replacement) for the regular price. What do you more experienced guys think?

It hasn't been updated for a long time and you can expect updates within the next two months but if you don't want to wait, you can still get a refurbished iMac for quite a good price.
Apple has its own refurbished products store.
BTW I'd suggest you the 24" inch version which can do Full-HD :).
I would definitely go for
I would definitely go for the iMac 24" as well, I'm happy with the MacBook though.
