If you wait one month, you should at least get it with Leopard.

As for hardware updates, I guess Mac Pros and Mac minis are next in the list.

I don't expect MacBook updates before May. But I'm just guessing.

If you wait for Leopard maybe you'll be lucky and get a refreshed MacBook too.

Not sure it's worth waiting

Not sure it's worth waiting for Leopard, it could come as late as during WWDC in June!

I was about to pull the trigger yesterday on a 15.4 Mac Book Pro Core 2 Duo but then ran across this site and mactactic.com. I really want this laptop, but maybe waiting is better? Till June would be really tough.

It’s not so much for Leopard, but I’m worried about missing out on any significant hardware upgrades for the MBP that I’d be missing out on for the money.

Based on past Apple actions and the experience of people posting to this site, any idea/guesses as to what kind of hardware upgrades might be made to the MBP that would be worth waiting for?

jnyepu, If you wait until June, you're almost sure to get both an upgraded MacBook Pro and Leopard.

Well, so much for the Leopard in June theory...

Apparently I'm not the only one who doesn't want to keep waiting but is also worried about getting burned by a significant hardware upgrade if I buy "too soon." Damn.

As for what that upgrade might involve, the most consistent rumor I've seen is more use of flash memory, which could increase battery life by reducing demands on the hard drive. That makes sense, because battery technology itself seems to be stalled out, so the only way to get longer battery life is by changing the way the machines themselves use their batteries.

The problem isn't really

Submitted by pear on Thu, 2007-04-19 00:54.

The problem isn't really Leopard now, it's that Apple hasn't updated any of its Mac line-ups for months!

Even the 8-core Mac Pro can't be considered as a real update, it just got a new CPU option, not a big deal for most of us.

There comes the dilemma...

I hope that Apple won't delay all of its Mac hardware releases because of Leopard's delay.

Well I say that, if Apple

Submitted by esavage on Fri, 2007-04-27 01:46.

Well I say that, if Apple does not take advantage of Santa Rosa right away, then the next IMac will be here around the Paris Expo in September. I Also I say that if the IPhone is pushed back, even if by a couple of weeks, we will not see Leopard till Macworld 08, in January, with a redesigned IMac around the same time.
The IPod is due for a update, with a small bump last time, Apple will not let that market wait, so that will take more resources away from the redesign of their computer line.
