As I had predicted on my posting of March the 14th, Apple released iTunes 4 which allows you to share your music via Rendezvous, adds support for AAC encoding and integration with Apple's new Music Store.

For this second part of my article dedicated on Panther, I've questioned my sources on features that we'll find on new versions of the system applications and iAppz that are going to be included with Mac OS X Panther.

During the last three months, I tried to find out information on what new features and improvements Panther is going to bring to us. A lot of quite reliable sources told me that Apple wanted to make huge improvements to this upgrade. Here is some information on the development of Panther that I could get from them:

As you have probably noticed, macosXrumors has been noticeably transformed this week-end. When I designed version 1.0 last year, I thought that, with the success of the site, the "Aqua Terminal" theme of its design would become the symbol of macosXrumors, something that would make people remember the site.

According to some sources, Apple may be discussing with Vivendi Universal the purchase of Universal Music unit. This rumor isn't verified yet but I believe Reuters (read also this article) is quite a reliable source.

UPDATE: A french Mac site has even taken the risk to give a direct download link to the build v71 on their site. Now we can say this beta is already quite public ;).

Since the release of the first public beta of Safari in early January. Developers received a dozen of seeds of Safari that added several exciting features like tabbed browsing, forms auto-fill, user-agent change and others that have already been mentionned by several sites.
