Here we are, day-1 to MacWorld Expo - Steve Jobs' keynote. Among all the information we could gather about possible MacWorld announcements, the following are the announcements that we believe could be made during the keynote:
- New iMac @ $500~$600 (with similar characteristics as the entry-level iBook, in a screen-less, compact, pizza-box style design)
- Speed-bumped PowerBooks (1.5 and 1.66ghz processors, improved graphic chip, other minor enhancements)
- 1Gb Flash-based iPod @ $149 (no screen, 240 songs, random play feature, may be called iPod shuffle)
- iLife '05 (including GarageBand 2, iTunes 4.7, iMovie 5, iDVD 5, iPhoto 5)
- Hardware audio interface (will use Firewire and provide advanced sound input/output features for GarageBand)
- iWork "05 (including at least Keynote 2 and Pages)
- Mac OS X Tiger demo and release date announcement
- More info on Motorola's iTunes compatible phone
- Adobe will NOT make any announcements or demo
As you see, tomorrow's keynote could be huge, probably the biggest in Apple's history if all of these speculations come true. Most of these speculations have also been confirmed by our own sources so we believe we won't be disappointed of this year's MacWorld. We even hope that there will be some little surprises and "one more thing" stuff.
So stay tuned, as we should be covering the event, tomorrow at 9:00 a.m. (PST), through a live transcription, thanks to a couple of sources. By the way, if you can help us too for the live coverage, don't hesitate to contact us [1].
Finally, if your site/blog is providing live coverage of the event, especially if your transcription is in another language than English, please send us [2] your URL so that we publish a list.
