Apple will webcast its Q1 2007 financial results on Wednseday, after the markets close.

Analysts expect the consumer electronics and Mac maker to post profit of about $0.78 per share on revenue of $6.4 to $6.5 billion.

The company's first financial quarter of 2007 should be boosted by strong iPod and Mac sales. An average consensus of 16 million iPod and 1.8 million Mac sales are expected to be reported.

The stock gained up 2.62% in Tuesday's regular trading session on the Nasdaq, closing at $97.10, near its recently achieved all time high of $97.80.

The results provide by Apple should be accurate and definitive, as the company has already restated its financials as a result of the stock-option irregularities found in Apple's accounting.

Meanwhile, Intel posted revenue of $9.7 billion and profit of $1.5 billion on Tuesday, respectively down from $10.2 billion and $2.45 billion last year.

MacScoop will be providing coverage on the financial results' live webcast [1].
