Rumor sites challenge Apple's subpoenas request

According to News.com, both Mac enthousiast sites, AppleInsider and PowerPage, which are being sued by Apple Computer for revealing information under non disclosure agreement, are not planning to stop publishing or to reveal their sources, despite the subpoenas requested by Apple.

The two sites' lawyers believe that the authors of these sites "cannot be compelled to disclose the source of any information procured in connection with their journalistic endeavours, nor any unpublished information obtained," the brief says. "The reporter's privilege applies to online publication and print publication equally."

ThinkSecret was also sued by Apple last month but continues to publish.
