New high-end AMD/ATI chip to arrive on Mac soon?
The Inquirer reveals that AMD/ATI is working on an R600 based graphic chip that will work with Apple computers.
It claims recent pictures of the forthcoming Radeon card published all over the web earlier this week are actually pictures of an OEM card destined to Apple.
This hints at the possibility that Apple offers the very high-end ATI-based graphic card as an option for their current or forthcoming Mac Pro line-up.
Apple hasn't updated its Mac Pro line-up since WWDC 2006 and was repeatedly expected to release a new line-up since late last year.
