During today's Q2 Financials conference call (covered by MacScoop), Apple's CFO Peter Oppenheimer dropped hints at upcoming new applications for the iPhone and new features for the Apple TV.

Both of the devices will get features and new applications over time at no additional charge for the user Oppenheimer said, but no specific details were provided about those features.

Though not clearly mentioned, Oppenheimer's statement is potentially a response to recent comments made by Microsoft executives who stated that the iPhone won't meet the business market because of the lack of software such as office applications.

Oppenheimer repeatedly showed enthusiasm over the release of the iPhone scheduled on June for the USA, Q4 for Europe and 2008 for Asia. He first qualified the launch of the iPhone as "the biggest launch ever" and ended the conference with a "we can't wait to launch the product.

Apple's CFO also hinted at "other innovative products" and said as usually that there were many exciting products in the pipeline.

Apple reported revenue of $5.26 billion and earnings of $770 million up 88% from last year.

After closing at $95.34 (up 2.26%) in the regular trading session, the company's stock skyrocketed during after-hours trading. It reached an all time high of over $103 (up more than 8%) before dropping back a little at $101.43 (up 6.38%).
