Apple announced [1] today the iTunes Wifi Store, specially adapted for for its touch-screen handhelds.
The iTunes Wifi Store is a mobile version of the iTunes Store, it can be accessed right from the iPhone or the newly released [2] iPod Touch.
Customers may purchase and listen songs instantly from both of the devices using a Wifi connection and can sync the purchased songs with the computer when back to home.
Apple also announced a partnership with Starbucks. When an iPod Touch or iPhone user is in a Starbucks Coffee Store, a new icon will appear on iTunes and will let users download the songs that are played in the store.
The connection and purchase from a Starbucks store doesn't even require any authentication and there is no connection fee charged. Starbucks has over 5800 wifi-enabled stores in the U.S. and growing.
There is no additional cost for a purchase on the iTunes Wifi Store.
