Apple NAB presentation coverage

The NAB show is taking place right know in Las Vegas. A special Apple keynote is presented by Rob Schoeben at this moment. Apple is expected to announce news software and maybe new hardware during the event.

Coverage is currently provided by Apple-X.net [1] and acme.blogs.com [2] (in French).

We'll be updating with the latest major announcements made during the presentation, so stay tuned.

Major announcements:
- European Apple Stores are down
- Apple announces Final Cut Pro Studio with Final Cut Pro 5..
- Final Cut Pro 5 features : real-time and on-the-fly HD-editing, support for HD and IMX 50 formats, Dynamic RT Extreme, support for Panasonic's P2, 24 channels audio, Mulicam support.
- Panasonic announces a new HD video camera AF-HVX200, available late this year for $5995.
- Motion 2 announced.
- Motion 2 features : Replicator feature (presets improvements, MIDI behaviors settings possibility to map key controls), intregration with After Effects, Real-time plug-in FX (3D rotation plug-in demonstrated), MIDI controllable effects.
- Soundtrack Pro announced.
- Soundtrack Pro features : automatic audio correction, multi-undo, 5000 effects, supports all current audio libraries, 50 Logic Pro plug-ins included, scriptable with Tiger's Automator feature.
- All Apple Stores (including US) are down.
- DVD Studio Pro 4 announced.
- DVD Studio Pro 4 features : can create HD-DVDs, grid-computing support for compression tasks.
- Final Cut Studio costs $1299 ($699 for the upgrade from any older version).
- Shake 4 announced.
- Shake 4 features : HD support.
- The products that were announced today will be available in May.
- Presentation takes end.
- Apple Stores re-open.
- Apple's web site updated with new products.
