Apple's CEO, Steve Jobs may attend the iPhone's launch event in France, at a new, Paris-based France Telecom store on November 29, sources told MacScoop.

France Telecom is opening a new store location at the prestigious Champs Elysées avenue on November the 28th, or a day before the iPhone is scheduled to be released in France.

Retail sources also indicated that the iPhone will be made available in priority at stores running under the France Telecom brand. It means some Orange-only branded stores might not even have the chance to have it in stock for the launch. The iPhone will eventually be made available at other retail locations and possibly some partners such as the French retailer Fnac in 2008.

One can assume that Steve Jobs will make use of his private jet to also attend the U.K. and German iPhone launches set for this Friday, but sources did neither confirm or deny this possibility.

Though the iPhone's subscription plans for O2 (UK) and T-Mobile (Germany) have already been revealed, French iPhone enthousiasts will have to wait at least another week from now until details on Orange's subscription plans are revealed.

No word from sources on Orange's iPhone plans for the french market, but it has been suggested in earlier reports MacScoop has obtained that Orange could include in the iPhone's dedicated plans access to its impressive Wifi network of more than 30 000 hotspots.

Currently this worldwide Wifi network is only available to the company's business customers through the Business Everywhere offering, which includes voice, 3G/EDGE data and Wifi in one pack.

On August the 13th, MacScoop was the first to reveal [2] that Apple would launch the iPhone in France with Orange on November. The rumours were confirmed by France Telecom's CEO, Didier Lombard then by Apple only a few weeks ago.
