Apple could delay the release of the very awaited iPhone SDK, an Internet report indicates.

Though the SDK was slated for February, it appears that Apple is late on the release, as a BusinessWeek report [1] suggests.

"I’m hearing from one source that its going to be late. I’m not yet hearing any reasons why, and it’s sounding like the official release date could slide by anywhere from one to three weeks."

On October, Apple had announced plans to release an SDK allowing developers to write native applications for the iPhone and the iPod touch. The announcement was made through a statement published on the company's web site and signed its CEO, Steve Jobs.

"Let me just say it: We want native third party applications on the iPhone, and we plan to have an SDK in developers' hands in February. Jobs sais in his statement".

BusinessWeek had revealed [2] that the SDK was coming on early 2008 one day before this statement was published.
