Apple launches "Mighty Mouse"
Apple released today its first multi-button mouse called the "Mighty Mouse". The company has always been making mono-button mouses but finally releases a four-button mouse that does not look like other PC mouses though.
The Apple's new mouse buttons are actually touch sensitive areas that simulate a click. The device also has an innovative scroll wheel that is not linear and allows 360 degree scrolling.
Apple has longly been rumoured to be working on a new kind of mouse that would not look like current PC mouses. Some patent filings had revealed devices with similar design during the past two years.
Mighty Mouse is specifically designed for Mac OS X Tiger but also works with PCs. It is currently available only in wired version. The new product is priced $49 and is already available trough Apple's online store.
