The special event that was announced [1] last week to the press through invitations has started, while the online store has closed. MacWorld [2] is providing a live coverage of the event.

- iTunes 5: smart shuffle (a sort of intelligent shuffle that takes care about statistics), playlist folders, explicit songs restrictions, new features for Windows users (Calendar and Adressbook sync)
- ROKR: it's the name of the iTunes phone, it can hold about 100 songs. supports audiobooks, podcasts, autofill, 14h battery life. It is Cingular exclusive (in the USA).
- Ron Garriques, Motorola mobile phones division's manager comes to stage to talk about the phone.
- Ralph de la Vega, Cingular's Chief Operating Officer gives his vision of the future of mobile telephony and music.
- 30% of the cars sold in 2006 will have iPod integration features.
- iPod nano: it will replace the iPod mini, smaller, with color screen, supporting photo features, usb2, still 1000 songs in your pocket.
- iPod nano design : its size is 3.5 x 1.6 x 0.27 inches, it weights 1.5 ounces and is available in black and white colors
- iPod nano models: 2GB ($199) and 4GB ($249).
- iPod nano accessories : dock ($29), lanyard with built-in headphones ($39), color-coordinated armbands ($29), 5 (colors) slipcases ($29).
