Apple increases Xserve and Xserve RAID storage capacity

Today, Apple announced [1] it has increased the storage capacity of its Xserve and Xserve RAID products.

The new systems now use 500GB hard drives and see their maximum storage capacity is increased to 1.5TB for the Xserve and to 7.5TB for the Xserve RAID.

The company claims that it offers one of the lowest cost per Gigabyte ratio in the industry: $1.86/GB.
